Welcome to Kids with Brains; our after school clubs and activities are designed to kindle a life-long interest in natural sciences and to encourage children's natural curiosity as well as to boost their confidence and resilience. Our age-appropriate experiments are conducted with humour and enthusiasm and our didactic style includes hands-on experiments run at a high pace; we aim to present our experiments as adventures to be enjoyed. We encourage our young scientists to become inquisitive; each question is a step to new ideas and self-discovery.

Cecilia Valente
Owner and Managing Director

Hello, my name is Cecilia Valente. I am the owner and managing director. My aim is to turn science into an adventure for young minds. With the support of DBS-checked, trained and experienced fellow educators I run chemistry, biology and physics classes and workshops for children aged five to 11 in after school clubs, holiday camps and birthday parties. Having worked with Catarina Pires, the founder, from 2018, I took over the company in 2022. My hope for the future is to go on introducing young minds to sceptical thinking in general and to the natural sciences in particular. In short, inspired by our pupils’ energy and creativity and supported by educators who share my passion and values, I hope to go on delighting and challenging your children for many years to come.
